Pells Insurance Associates is a third generation Independent Insurance Agency, and was founded in 1929 by Harry J. Pells

Joseph F. Pells, CLU, CIC. In 1952 Joe Pells, Harry’s son, joined his father in a thriving Property and Casualty agency, and Life Insurance General Agency. Joe soon earned the Chartered Life Underwriter designation, and eventually took over the agency when Harry retired in 1968.

Mark S. Pells, CIC, CRM is the current agency president. Joe’s son, Mark joined his father in 1974 to continue building the business. Both Joe and Mark have earned the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, awarded by The Society of CIC, and both have been honored by the Society of CIC for over 25 years of their ongoing pledge to education, commitment to excellence, and dedication to the insurance profession. In 2006, Mark was awarded the prestigious designation of Certified Risk Manager (CRM), after successfully completing the various course and exam work required for this technical discipline.

With the philosophy that our income is derived from serving our clients needs by educating them in order to make good decisions, the agency is motivated by the belief that our clients have the right to be clearly informed regarding their needs and the options available.

Our objective is to meet all of your expectations. Meeting our client’s expectations, however, is not what Pells Insurance considers service. Meeting expectations is simply doing our job. Service is when we go above and beyond what is expected of us by our clients. We strive to make our clients not only satisfied having us as their agent or broker for their insurance company, but comfortable in knowing that we will do everything possible to help them to make good decisions regarding their risk needs.

Both Mark and Joe are qualified to analyze and discuss your needs, and make recommendations that may or may not require insurance.
